Sambaia was founded in Istanbul, Turkey, in collaboration with Year Zero Radio, where I hosted a two-year residency. What began as a monthly radio show soon evolved into a vibrant space for musical discovery, featuring artist interviews, curated mixes, and conversations about vinyl culture and the deep roots of Brazilian music.

Over 32 editions, Sambaia showcased a diverse lineup of artists, including Dejoe, Mister Luba, Ouvidopai, Giu Nunes, Pensanuvem, DJ Tahira, DJ Abud, Ramonzin, Tiago Lemos, Tikogo, Ingogneido, Didonez, Rafael Petersen EDG, DJ Novset, and many others. Each guest brought their unique musical perspective, united by one shared mission: to celebrate and explore Brazilian culture.

After a three-year hiatus, Sambaia is back, now broadcasting from RBL Berlin, a web radio station located in the heart of Graefekiez, one of Berlin’s most creative districts. I will be hosting live every second Saturday of the month, joined by special surprise guests and new sonic journeys.
Sambaia is my tribute to the rhythms, stories, and soul of Brazilian music, a culture that continues to inspire and shape the global soundscape.

Hosted by Helio Pelosi, Sambaia returns with renewed energy, deeper connections, and plenty of surprises.
